“Caricature Artist”  By Hitomi Ishihara
Tuesday, March 14, 13:30-14:30

Hitomi Ishihara, the overall winner of the 2021 ISCA and the artist of the logo for JAPAN Grand Prix 2023, will give a seminar on the art of caricatures.

She will talk about her life as an artist, her works, and how she deals with her paintings on a daily basis.She will also talk about what she has learned through caricature.

Hitomi Ishihara

Caricature Artist / Instructor
Affiliated with Caricature Japan Inc.

Born in Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture.
Started drawing pictures at the age of 2 under the influence of her father, who wanted to become an artist.
Her childhood dream was to become a girls’ manga artist.
Favorite manga artists who influenced her are Osamu Tezuka and Arina Tanemura.
She loves their gorgeous and cute drawings and character touch.
After graduating from high school, she studied illustration and design at the Illustration Department of Tokyo Designer Gakuin.

In 2014, after a fateful encounter with the world of Caricature, she attended Caricature Japan’s professional training course every week and made her long-sought professional debut in 2015.
The following year, in 2016, she became an instructor at a caricature class for the general public and for training professionals.
She has participated in many world, Japanese, and Korean competitions.
In 2020, she will be online as a seminar instructor for the ISCA World Convention, and in
In 2021, she won the overall championship of the ISCA World Championships, a long-cherished dream.
